CB4 or CV31

I know I'm in the minority, and I like Chris Bosh, BUT, I don't believe that he is the savior of the Raptor franchise. But, there is one way he could save all Toronto fans - get traded.

That's right. Give Dave (I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground) Feschuk some more fodder to stick down his throat and trade the #1 player on the team NOW. I think you could get a couple of #1 picks plus a good player right now and continue the building of this franchise. Don't get me wrong - Bosh is good, but I think his reputation exceeds his real value on the Raptors and I would rather get 3 or four players who can play in the next 2 years than have one CB4.

That brings me to Charlie Villanueva. I have long been a supporter of his and believe the Raptors were right in selecting him with th 7th pick of the draft. (see prior posts) To date, he has been tremendous, and when I say tremendous, I say better than Chris Bosh. True, it has only been pre season, but if the draft were reheld today, I don't think Charlie would be around for the Raptors to pick. He is stronger physically than Bosh with more versatility and I think the Raps would do better going with him at the 4 than Bosh.

Call me crazy, but this could be the lift that would take the Raptors out of the bottom division.

NBA is here

Well, the NBA season is almost here and last night there was news of a trade that sent Jamaal Magloire to the Bucks for Desmond Mason and a first round draft pick. Naturally, many Toronto fans are upset because the Raps didn't land this native son.

I say "Thank God".

Magloire had one decent season (and that includes his years at Kentucky), he is a P.R disaster never having played for Canada's national team, and I can't believe he is anywhere near as good as Toronto fans would like to believe. Mason is a super talent and the first round pick could be a lottery one. This is a great deal for New Orleans. Last time I looked, they were terrible (and that was with the saviour Magloire).

As for the Raps, I still love Villanueva and Graham, and wouldn't give them up for a non talent like Magloire. They won't win any more games this year, but they are on their way!!! Just ask Chuck.
