Jamaal Magloire

JAMAAL MAGLOIRE - Now there's a name to remember, a legend unto himself. A guy who has had a couple of decent NBA seasons, one All Star appearance and he believes he is the second coming of ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Connie Hawkins (just so you kids won't know what I'm talking about)

Now first of all, let me say I am not a Magloire fan. I thought he was a brutal college player at Kentucky and while I appreciate he can do some dirty work out on that court, I feel his skill level is still far below what a good NBA player would be able to bring to the game.

What really irks me is that he is pissed off at Steve Nash for holding a charity game in Toronto, a place that Magloire feels is "his" territory exclusively. What kind of garbage is this? Has Magloire ever showed up in Toronto to do anything since he left high school (i.e to run charity events)? Has Magloire ever shown up to play for Canada's National Team? Who the hell does Jamaal Magloire think he is, other than an overrated big body looking out for number 1 (which isn't such a terrible thing as long as you admit to it)

Thank god for Steve Nash. Great skills, great attitude, great role model for kids who may be able to dunk but can't dribble, shoot or pass. (see J. Magloire) He is a throwback and it is Toronto's gift that he is throwing an event in Toronto where we don't get to see him play enough. He is far more Canadian than Magloire in his attitude towards the National team and my only hope is that if the Raptors really want a Canadian on their team, they look to someone other than Jamaal "The Big 0" Magloire.
