Vince

Last night we all had the chance to see Vince v. the Raptors. The Raptors won round 1, but this trade was still a disaster. To get 3 players, none of whom will be with the Raptors in 2 years (lucky if they make it to next year) and low draft choices (particularly in light of Rob Babcock's history of draft choices) for a guy who on any night can carry a team all by himself is a joke. Yes, Vince was not the same Vince Carter as he has been, but if they hadn't embarrassed him by sitting him on the bench for many a 4th quarter, perhaps he would have been more motivated to play up to his skill. Still, at 16 points per game as he then was, this would take a slew of Aaron Williams to make up the difference.

To me, Rob Babcock got clobbered. His choice of Raphael Araujo as the 8th pick in the draft was laughable. I suggest that his time is running out.

Ads

I have spent an hour trying to figure out how to place ads on the page and can't figure it out. CAN ANYONE HELP?

I'm off to class again and will hand out the tests to the second real estate class. I hope this doesn't ruin their weekends. I'll try to keep them smiling.

testing 1, 2 & 3

Yesterday I took up the Real Estate test with my students at Humber College. Hopefully, I am getting through to them and they will begin to see the "big picture" rather than the customary "memorize and throw back" method. Hopefully they will adapt to the new style. I really like all the students and feel that they are ripe to be trained to "think". I'm sure the relativbely low marks was discouraging to them, but I hope they see it as a learning experience. I won't let too many fall all the way down.

Start

Well,, this is just the start of my ranting and raving, but I need some more time to give thought to those things that affect me. Right now the NHL season has been cancelled, which allows all to spend more time watching basketball, and, as the NCAA tournament begins in the next month, that is a whole lot better than watching dummies on ice. Ken Klee thinks that Bettman is an idiot who must have learned negotiations through a "Dummies" book must be an expert in those matters since he sits on the sideliones making nothing. Bob Goodenough is finished. He'll need a new job.
